This
complaint was filed on Monday, September 6, 2010, by
Naeem Choudhary, resident of Orlando.
This complaint will be removed ONLY when the complainant,
Naeem Choudhary, contacts us by Email and advises us that the
complaint has been resolved to his satisfaction.
Here is the exact text of the actual complaint:
On 06/24/10 i took in a HTC touch pro 2 for repair. It needed
a new digitizer. Everything else was working fine. I also
provided them with a new digitizer. Making long story short.
CPR broke the LCD while trying to put on the digitizer, after
getting 3 months of run around they refuse to take responsibility
of damage. They even kept the digitizer i provided them and
refuse to return it. They broke my phone and kept my part.
I cant get a hold of the manager or the owner. They hide
in the back, wont come out to talk and wont return phone
calls. CPR Orlando is practicing Un ethical bussiness. They
are a big RIPOFFS with no respect for their customers.

description_of_problem = Hi my name is LaTisa Mitchell and
I currently reside in Lake Village, Ar. The company that
I have a complaint on is Truetech Cellular located in Orlando,
FL. First I sent truetech a email explaining the problem
that I had with my phone. Truetech emailed me back and stated
that they could fix my phone for 55 dollars. I still have
all of these emails on file. I sent my phone off to them
on September 16, 2008 with an money order for 55 dollars.
I also put tracking and insurance on the package also. I
gave it a week before I called to see if the company had
my phone. I spoke with an representative named Shuan. He
informed me that my package had not made it to their facility
yet. So I gave it a couple of days and called back and he
informed me that the package had not made it yet. So eventually
the package made it to the facility. Shuan stated that the
package was at another location. Shuan informed me that the
phone would be worked on and mailed out the following day.
I waited another week and no one called. I called back and
Shuan stated that the phone was shipped off. Worker asked
Shuan what was the address he shipped it to. Shuan stated
that he shipped the phone to Lake Village, Arizona. I informed
Shuan that I lived in Lake Village, ARkansas. I waited two
days and called Shuan back and her informed me that the package
had made it back to the facility and that he was going to
change the address and send it off that same day this was
October 15, 2008. This was the last time that I spoke with
anyone from Truetech Cellular. I call on a daily basis and
send emails also. No one has responded to any of my messages
or phone calls. I had both tracking and insurance on my phone
from the post office. My phone was a Samsung Black Jack 2
(Red). In doing a research I found another person who was
dealing with this same issue. He informed me to contact this
website his name is Eric Felton and his email is ericfelton8@msn.com

called me for payment. They informed me that the
phone was fixed
and that it would be mailed out on Monday(10/20/08).
Since then, I've talked to several people that
give me different
stories about the whereabouts of my phone. I need
my phone for business travel. Now, their phone
isn't working and no
one answers my emails. I have already reported them
to the Economic Fraud department and BBB of Florida.
I've recently
received a copy to payment and noticed there's a
different phone number aquainted with it. Repeated
calls to that number
with voicemail has gone unanswered. I just want my
repaired Palm Treo 750 returned to me.

store-state = NY
store-zip = 11729
store-phone = 631-586-9584
description_of_problem = On or about July 29th, I called
CPR of Long Island & spoke with Tim about repairing one
of the flip joints on my 8 month old Motorola Razr 9 cell
phone. He said that he surely had the part and provided instructions
on how to mail him the phone. On July 31st I carefully packaged
the phone, wrapped in bubble paper, and sent it insured for
$325 to CPR of LI. I tracked the package on Sat., Aug. 2nd
and the tracking info indicated that they tried to deliver
at about 9AM and no one was there, so they brought it back
to the post office. I called Tim on Monday and told him the
phone was at the PO. He said that he would go over and get
it. He called me back on Tuesday afternoon and told me that
THE PHONE WAS REPAIRED and he needed a credit card to pay
for the repair. (I later found out that he hadn't even received
the phone until 2:17 PM - Hmmm - quick repair?) I provided
a number from my Master Card. According to the bank, the transaction
date for the charge was Aug. 5th and the posting date was
Aug. 7th - for $70.85. I fully expected the phone to be arriving
back at my house from that moment on. When it didn't arrive,
I called Tim on Aug. 12th - a full week after they charged
my credit card - and he told me that they had to order a
part. I said that he had already told me that the phone was
all repaired. He said that he had been mistaken and that
he had to order the part, but that it had come in "today" and
he would finish the repair and get the phone in the mail.
I called on the 14th and was told he was sending it priority
mail. I then read Keith Harris's complaint on your blog.
I called on the 16th, spoke to Tim who was now playing at
being confused. He said I would have the phone on Monday.
I asked if this would be MY phone. He said yes. He said he'd
call me back with the tracking number. At 3:34 when I called
again, he said he was leaving then to go to the post office
to ship the phone - then he would call me back with the tracking
number. On the 18th I called and spoke with John who said
that Tim was "out in the field..." I told him
that I was waiting for a tracking number and I expected
Tim to
call me back with that. It is now Tuesday, I just called
the number and it rang through to voice mail. I STILL
DON'T HAVE MY $290 PHONE, PLUS I PAID THESE JERKS FOR
A SEEMINGLY
BOGUS REPAIR. I urge everyone to STAY AWAY FROM THESE
LIARS and cheats!

7 July 08 I sent my daughter's
cell phone to CPR of Long Island ( I had used CPR of Redwood
Ca. with good results) on 12 July I called them for the status
and they informed me tht they were backed up because of the
4th of July holiday. 17 July I was called by Tim with the
status of the phone and for authorization to repair it. I
gave them the ok and the Visa information on 18 July with
the assurance that it would be repaired and mailed out by
monday 21 Jul. On 24 Jul no phone so I called for the status
and was told that they had recieved the wrong part in initially
but would have it fininshed and sent out by that weekend.
0n 28 Jul stll no phone I again spoke with Tim and he told
me they could not repair the phone and would send me a replacement
phone. On 31 July i did get the phone in the mail. However
when I took the phone to Verizon to have it activated on
1 Aug I was informed that the phone was on their lost/stolen
list and could not be activated. I called Tim from the store
and they he spoke with the customer rep and stated to them
and me that they got the phone from Fry electronics and was
sorry. Tim then told me that they would send by priority
mail that day a phone (1 aug) I still have no phone for my
daughter. I called and was old it was on the way and when
asked for tracking number I Tim did not have access to it
in the computer. So the moral of the story is the Long Island
CPR is not one to be used. My complaint is that they are
liars and I will blog this about them. Complain to every
watchdog that i can so that no one's is treated as I was!

Great News
Some of the
most prominent cell phone repair shops in the USA have
now added highly visible "customer service" links
on their web sites. This enables their customers
to try to resolve their problems without involving
us or any of the other watchdogs on the web. Congratulations,
